Our Mission
Nashaway Equine Veterinary Wellness offers services exclusively focusing on routine equine dentistry and spinal manipulation (equine veterinary chiropractic therapy). We strive to enhance the understanding and value of a veterinarian’s approach to these two diverging yet complimentary aspects of a horse’s well-being. Our mission is to promote oral health and spinal comfort in horses of all ages, breeds, and performance disciplines.
SERVICES
-
Equine Dentistry
Modern equine dentistry is essential to a horse’s health and wellbeing, providing the opportunity for a longer, more comfortable quality of life. The primary goal is to maintain the horse’s natural ability to chew effectively and comfortably as they age. We provide a thorough oral exam on every patient as well as dental floating and uncomplicated tooth extractions as required.
-
Spinal Manipulation (Veterinary Chiropractic) Therapy
Spinal manipulation, a veterinary-specific form of chiropractic therapy, aims to restore balance and comfort through directed manual adjustments. This therapy is tailored to the unique anatomy and stressors of the horse. Every session involves a brief assessment of movement, motion palpation, and directed adjustments to alleviate restrictions where needed.
-
Diagnostic Imaging
We offer digital radiographic imaging of the head, focusing on the teeth and sinuses. This a valuable way to examine and diagnose abnormalities of the head found during an oral exam. This information can then be easily shared with other members of your horse’s veterinary team as required.
