Radiographs

On occasion, there is a need to obtain more in-depth information relating to a horse’s oral health.  Nashaway Equine uses digital radiography to examine their teeth above the gum line as well as the sinuses.  This may be done in response to an abnormality seen on oral exam and/or a concern observed by you the owner, such as unexplained nasal discharge or a bloody nose (epistaxis). This information is important as a diagnostic and treatment-planning tool.  They are stored as part of the horse’s medical record and can also easily be shared with other veterinary professionals if more specific treatment is needed.

Oral Endoscopy

This simple, yet valuable imaging tool allows a more thorough examination of a horse’s mouth. The camera captures dental images for better visualization, diagnosis, and monitoring. These images are then stored as part of your horse’s medical record and/or shared with other veterinary health professionals as required.
